Yunbao Yellow River Bridge is 1 690 meters long and constructed according to the standard of 6-lane expressway. The design speed is 80 kilometers per hour and the bridge width is 34 meters. The structure of low-pylon cable-stayed bridge with corrugated steel webs is adopted. Its main span is 200 meters, which is the world's largest corrugated steel webs low-pylon cable-stayed bridge.
It is reported that after the bridge is opened to traffic, the distance from Yuncheng in Shanxi Province to Lingbao in Henan Province can be shortened by about 80 kilometers, and the distance will be shortened from one and a half hours to 20 minutes. It will thoroughly open up the "broken end" of the exit Highway Corridor between Southwestern Shanxi and northwestern Henan (the residents of the two places passed by ferry before), break the natural barrier of Shanxi to the west of Henan and the two lakes, and strengthen the economic and cultural exchanges between Shanxi and the Central Plains and even the "two lakes and two guangdong" areas, close the regional cooperation of the Yellow River Golden Triangle and realize the south.
